This is one of those moments when I run across an article and think, WOW, eventually that technology will makes its way into the education space! Spatial is a startup in Brooklyn, NY that created holographic collaboration software that allows colleagues from across the globe to work together on projects. Mid-pandemic, Anand Agarawala, co-founder and CEO explains Spatial as "imagine if Zoom had teleportation" in this video with Joanna Sterns from the Wall Street Journal.

The most intriguing part is how this technology could connect classrooms around the world in the not too distant future. Want to take Japanese? Now you can "sit in" a classroom inTokyo. Let's say you have a guest lecturer from NASA who "drops into" your class to illustrate how the Shuttle works. AND more importantly, think about schools that don't have access to certain resources, such as special education teachers, on a consistent basis. Or even specialized tutors working with kids through a YMCA after school program. For underserved populations this could make a huge impact.

For now, just think of the possibilities and take a guess at how long it will take to become a reality. My bet is that it happens sooner than we think.
